Fresh Squid

Nearby meme and Onn's "holiday house" ahemmm ada tempat pendaratan ikan.
We plan to go 'squidding" or squid jigging aka mencandat sotong before the squid season ends. May to August is the squid jigging season.
You can hire a boat for RM250 for two hours of jigging and two hours of snorkelling, each speed boat can carry six peoples.. eeerr our size maybe half the people lahh

This is the day catch.. we have asked the fisherman to get us five kilos of freshly caught squid, they only managed to get 3 kilos, its only RM10 per kilo.. if you go squidding, probably u only get two squids, for two hours work ... hehehe

The squid can easily reach 2 feets from end of body to its tentacles..

How i cooked it?
Crispy deep fried squid..

First... add two handful of flour plus one handful of corn flour and one handful of rice flour then add salt to taste (matilah korang nak taste tepung mentah), pepper and nutmeg powder.. mix the mixture. Kalau ada ginger powder, onion powder and garlic powder can add also, lagi best... but all dried ingredient ok

beat eggs plus some milk (here i used evaporated milk as fresh milk tak de stock kat rumah), add salt to taste and nutmeg powder and beat light light... marinate your squid in the mixture....

When u are ready to fry (first heat a deep base wok with lots of oil), dip the squid into the flour (or u can put the squid in a plastic bag and add the flour mixture and shake until teh squid is well coated..

fry until golden brown and crispy... try leeeeeeeeeeeeeee
